Important Notes
  • Before using the VTM mobile application, the driver must have the following information in Vascor's system:
    1. Carrier name for the driver
    2. Driver first and last name
    3. Driver phone number
    4. Driver must be assigned to a route
  • GPS must be enabled in order to use the app.
    1. Enabling GPS while the app is in use or in the background, can drain the battery.
    2. The app DOES NOT store GPS readings unless the driver has enabled the "Start Tracking" slider for a route.
  • Once the user has logged into the app, it can run in the background if the user hits the "home" button.
    1. Route stops can auto arrive / depart as the driver hits GeoFences.
    2. Some route stops require extra information such as trailer, BOL, etc., for GeoFencing to work properly.

System Documentation & How-To's

  • After opening the app, the login screen will appear.
  • Enter the drivers First Name, Last Name, and Phone number that was provided to Vascor.
  • After login, the Active Routes screen will appear.
  • At this point the user can hit "home" on their device and the VTM app should stay running in the background.

  • After login, the driver will see the Active Route Screen.
  • This screen will display any open routes assigned to the driver.
  • The first route on the list is considered the "Active Route".
  • The driver must enable the "Start Tracking" slider for a route before GPS will start tracking the route.
  • At this point, the user can hit "home" on their device and the VTM app should stay running in the background.

    NOTE: Normally, the driver does not have to manual arrive / depart each stop unless GPS Geofencing is not working!
  • While on the Active Route screen click on any route to display the Route Stops.
  • Each route stop can have an arrive, depart, or both.
    • The Arrive button will only work inside the GeoFence for the given stop.
    • The Arrive / Depart buttons must be pressed in the correct order. The app will reject any arrival / departure out of sequence.
    • Some route stops require other pieces of data before the depart will work.
  • The driver has the option to type in a driver comment and hit the "SAVE CHANGES" button to send the comment to Vascor CSC.
    • Once the comment has been sent to Vascor CSC, it will disapear form the VTM Mobile app.
  • The driver also has the option to type in other information such as the trailer, BOL, etc., and hit the "SAVE CHANGES" button to send that information to Vascor.
    • Once the data has been sent, it will update the route in the Vascor system and will stay in the VTM Mobile app.
  • At this point, the user can hit "home" on their device and the VTM app should stay running in the background.

  • At the login screen, click on the link at the bottom of the screen titled, Vascor employees click HERE.
    Note: You only need to click the link once after installation since the app remembers your selection.
  • This will take you to the Vascor User login screen (shown below) where you can enter in your Vascor credentials.
  • Afterwards, you may be presented with a What's new in this version screen. This only appears after the app has updated to a new version. Press the Return to Home Screen button at the bottom of the screen to continue.
  • The app will display the Trailer Route Verification screen. The blank fields will automatically be filled in by the app when hitting the scan button. Click on the Scan button to begin.
  • The app requires permission to access the camera on your phone. You MUST click Allow for the app to work. The camera is only used to scan barcodes.
  • Now, you are ready to scan. First, align the red line in the middle of the screen with the barcode at the top of a Delivery Note. This will auto-populate the Route Code and Dispatch Date fields and return you to the previous screen.
  • Repeat the same process for scanning the trailer barcode.
  • Finally, click on the Validate button at the bottom of the screen. If the process completed successfully, you will see a green box at the bottom of the screen saying Valid Scan for short period.
  • The trailer verification process is complete. You may continue to perfrom another scan with the previous steps or exit the app.
  • If there was an error on the verification process, you will see a red box at the bottom of the screen saying Invalid Scan, followed by an error message listing why the process failed. Ensure that you have scanned the correct barcodes on the Delivery Note and Trailer. In the event one barcode does not scan properly, you may manually enter codes on the screen. However, this should only be done as last resort.

  • Located in the top left of the screen is a menu icon that can be used to get back to the Active Routes list, About screen, or Log Out of the application.


  • On iPhone's and iPad's with Physical Home button
    • To put the app into the background - While the app is running hit the Home button once.
    • To bring the app back from the background into the foreground - While the app is in the backgroud, double press the Home button to show running apps, find the VTM app, and press once on the VTM app.
    • To completely close the app - While the app is running, double pressing the Home button to show running apps, find the VTM app, press and hold on the VTM app while swiping upward to remove the app.
    • NOTE: The user should only completely close the app if they have finished all routes and no longer wish to use the app!
  • On iPhone's and iPad's without a Home button
    • To put the app into the background - While the app is running, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
    • To bring the app back from the background into the foreground - While the app is in the background, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, find the VTM app, and press once on the VTM app.
    • To completely close the app - While the app is running, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, find the VTM app, press and hold on the VTM app while swiping upward to remove the app.
    • NOTE: The user should only completely close the app if they have finished all routes and no longer wish to use the app!

  • To put the app into the background - While the app is running, hit the Home button once (normally the middle button / circle icon).
  • To bring the app back from the background into the foreground - While the app is in the backgroud, hit the App Overview button (normally the right button / square icon) once to show running apps, find the VTM app, and press once on the VTM app.
  • To completely close the app - While the app is running, hit the App Overview button (normally the right button / square icon) once to show running apps, find the VTM app, press and hold on the VTM app while swiping upward to remove the app.
  • NOTE: The user should only completely close the app if they have finished all routes and no longer wish to use the app!
FAQ [Frequently Asked Questions]

GPS data is sent to Vascor when the following criteria have been met:
  1. The app must be open or running in the background.
  2. The driver must enabled the "Start Tracking" slider for a route.

The VTM Mobile app sends the following data:
  1. The drivers first and last name provided on the login screen.
  2. The drivers phone number provided on the login screen.
  3. Device model, device manufacturer, device name, OS type, OS version, screen width, screen height, latitude, longitude, and date/time
  4. Vascor route data such as the route code, route date/time, other route data.
  5. Vascor route stop data such as the stop number, location name, arrive / depart date/time, other route stop data.
